Travis Burk
Travis brings over 10 years of extensive, hands-on experience across safety, quality and environmental systems in construction, infrastructure and industrial environments. His background spans both operational and leadership roles, giving him strong insight into how safety systems must work in practice to support delivery teams. Travis has led the development, implementation and ongoing management of integrated management systems, supported audits and certifications, and worked directly with regulators, contractors and project teams to embed practical, compliant safety processes.
In his current advisory role in Project Safety and Quality at TasWater, Travis contributes a pragmatic, delivery focused approach grounded in real project experience across low, medium and major works. He has extensive experience in risk management, incident investigation, system reviews, training and contractor engagement, with a strong focus on proportionality and risk-based application. This enables him to provide support by clearly defining minimum compliance requirements, strengthening consistency across delivery models, and ensuring management systems are effective, scalable and genuinely support people on the ground.
